Reading the Library: The Tale of Hill Top Farm

The Tale of Hill Top Farm by Susan Wittig Albert.

Splendid...very light and very likable...this is the first in a series of five that features Beatrix Potter as the main character. You might be put off by the talking animals, but I was enchanted and pleased as punch that the critters could talk to one another. It helps if you watch Miss Potter before you begin reading as this book picks up basically where the film leaves off.

Now, I'm off for a shower and to settle in with the second book.
