Woo Hoo! We've lived here four months now and there have been 35 boxes of books stacked in the den waiting for shelves. My hubs built these in pieces as we had extra money for lumber, then tied them all together and anchored them to the wall. I think they turned out beautiful! Unfortunately there are still several boxes of books to unpack and only one shelf is empty....looks like we need more of the same!
I will go on record as saying, "You can never have too many books!"

LOVE this. I have dreams of a wall like this in my upstairs loft office. I was informed the walls aren't that tall in the loft, but I'm okay with that!
