Potatoes for dinner.

We planted 7.5 pounds of seed potatoes and we ended up with over 46 pounds of potatoes (minus the ones we ate before I thought to weigh them). The seed was organic and we just broke even on growing our own when you consider the cost.

Some of the Yukon's we grew from some potatoes we saved from last year....those were essentially free. The plan for next year...save more seed and buy less so our yield costs less than the grocery store.

Am I only one who gets excited about growing organic food AND saving money?
