It has been over a year since Japhy J went back to the earth. We both finally felt like we were ready for another dog. We knew Mesa (the brown dog) would be more accepting of a puppy and frankly, I'm not sure I have the energy for an older dog with issues.
We adopted Corrie yesterday from the local no-kill shelter. Her face looks just like Japhy's but she doesn't look so much like him that it breaks my heart.
